Aberdeen Simpson

Associate marriage and family therapist #159567

Hi, I’m Aberdeen!

Aberdeen (she/her) is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) who works with adolescents and adults using a collaborative, relational approach. She chose to become a therapist after witnessing people close to her struggle to self-advocate and this experience continues to shape her commitment to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to use their voice.

Aberdeen offers in-person and virtual services.

aberdeen believes the relationship between client and therapist is the foundation of effective therapy and prioritizes building a warm, supportive, and authentic therapeutic alliance. Aberdeen supports clients in identifying their own goals and integrating meaningful, sustainable changes into daily life.

Aberdeen believes early intervention and meaningful connection can be deeply impactful in the healing process. She is especially attuned to the pressures young people face today and the ways cultural expectations, including diet and wellness messaging, can influence self-worth and identity. In therapy, she strives to help clients explore these influences while reconnecting with their own values, needs, and sense of self.

Using a compassionate, enthusiastic, and approachable style, Aberdeen balances warmth with thoughtful directness. She helps clients recognize their strengths, build resilience, and develop skills that support greater balance and self-compassion. While she has extensive experience working with individuals experiencing eating disorders and body image distress, her work is rooted in supporting the whole person and fostering long-term emotional well-being.

In her free time, Aberdeen enjoys spending time in nature and training her horse named Kara. Aberdeen loves to travel and will spend her weekends touring new places or going to concerts. She is excited to meet you and learn about your journey!
